Do The Dog Music
This is the third installment of the much-loved "This Are UK Ska"
compilation series put out by Kevin of Do The Dog Music and skazine. A
great compilation showcasing the best of what UK ska has to offer at
the moment, with bands such as Smoke Like A Fish, Too Many Crooks,
Rebelation and Pama International.
If you're interested to find
out what's going around in the UK ska scene at the moment, this is a
good one to get hold of. Unfortunately, there isn't a great deal of
information in the sleeve notes but there is contact information and
website addresses for all bands which appear.
As with most
releases put out through Do The Dog, Kevin has managed, once again, to
choose wisely leaving behind all the more mainstream/poppy/punky/shitty
skater trendy-boy crap that people call ska these days. But having said
that this is not just another Specials or Selecter wannabe bands
showcase.
