The Gits
Gits and Guts
Nordisc Records

Released last year (2002) through Nordisc records this is the latest full-length album from these Polish Skinheads.
Musically they have a sound similar to Section 5, Condemned 84 but a bit more streetpunk than Oi!, if that makes sense. In other words, I guess you could say they have a 90's Oi! sound to them. Two tracks which stand out are 'Until The Day You Die', which is a kind of skinhead ballad. A lot more mellow than the rest of the album, and more of a sing-a-long track. The other one was the final track 'Fallen Angels'. This one has a real ska sound to it. Which surprised me as I had read in an interview with The Gits, that they weren't into the ska scene at all. Although having said that I guess that doesn't mean they don't like it.
All tracks on the album are sung in English, and lyrics in the sleeve. The only thing I wasn't too keen on was the vocals. The overall sound of them was good, but on listening closer the English isn't all that well pronounced, and at times sounds as though he is having trouble so just skims over the words, or rambles them all together. But then English is the only language I speak and mine isn't all that desirable at times either!
