TOXKÄPP
‘SKAméidi'
Starting off the album with ‘Baby Boom', you quickly get the feel for
the rest of the album and realise that Toxkapp are one of the finest
ska bands to ever release an album. Although none of the lyrics are in
English, the little booklet has an English insert explaining all the
tracks and what they are about. Fast and catchy you will still find
yourself humming along and getting right into it. I can't really seem
to pick my favourite track on the album, or even the one that stands
out most. but Track 1 ‘Baby Boom' is up there as is Track 12 ‘SKAndal',
and Track 2 and 3 are pretty damn good aswell.
Don't let the fact that they don't sing in English put you off. If you
do and then at some point down the track you end up hearing them
you are gonna be real shitty you didn't listen to them when you
had the chance. You can occassionally hear a song or 2 on Skankin
Downunder and the not so sensible ska show in the Melbourne
area.
