The Skinflicks
Lies, Damned Lies and Skinhead Stories
Blind Beggar Records

Released in 2001, this is the first full-length album from these crazy
Luxembourgish blokes. 16 tracks of pure, ballsy skinhead anthems this
is one you can't afford to miss out on. Starting with ‘ We're The
Skinflicks' and going onto ‘wet whistle boozing crew' you will be
instantly hooked.
‘...we are the Skinflicks and we rule...' is
chanted throughout the song and it certainly rings true. There's
something here for everyone, especially if you are a pizza eating hippy
hating skinhead, and proud of it! And even if your not then you are
bound to like it anyway.
The best thing about this album and the
band as a whole, is it isn't full of negative world hating songs.
Instead it an album that makes you proud to be a skinhead and lace up
your boots in the morning. Tracks like ‘ Lionhearts' and ‘What I am'
are the best examples of this, where ‘pizza' and ‘I Hate Hippies' are
less on the serious side and more on the not so serious side.
Basically, The SKinflicks ain't just another band singing about
politics, misery and how hard done by they are, like I said before they
make you proud to be who you are.
I'm not sure how readily avaliable
The Skinflicks albums are in Australia, but you can just go to the
Blind Beggar site and grab a copy there. www.oirecords.com.
