Limecell
It's Gonna Get Ugly
TKO Records
The front cover spins you out - certainly put there to get your attention. Clever idea really. Limecell are 5 blokes from the USA, that's all I know about the band. Some of the blokes are looking a bit constipated in the band photos. The first track is ok, it's about rioting, second track is about the same - ok, about trendy people who have vampire fangs and have thier chests and leep in their own vomit. Interesting. The third track is my favourite on the CD. At last a bit of brilliance, especially the subject - fair fighting -  no one does it anymore. I have always believed this, but never heard a song about it.. Good one Fellas. Next track ‘Rage' is okay. It doesn't impress me too much. Some of it then begins to sound the same, you can't put it totally down, but it doesn't stand out either, mostly mid tempo harcore, streetrock is the best I can describe it. The lyrics are quite good. The other tracks that stand out of the rest of them is about primal instincts to look at gore and accidents. Another subject not sung about. I must say this about the band, they pull out some lyrics that aren't so usual and it's good to hear. ‘They Got Guts', it seems with this song the CD starts to rock out a bit, some good guitar work too. ‘Blacklist' is also a song that stands out, it's good basic streetrock, a good sing-a-long tune. The songs go back to average, something to have on in the background that you don't take much notice to. The very last song rescues it again, a song about Skinhead Roots in their hometown of USA. Good song to end off with. All in all this CD is worth checking out to make your own mind up about. The few songs they do good are very good, but the rest is average, so basically an average Hardcore American CD.
