Re-issued to commemorate the 10th anniversary of GG Allins death with 5
bonus tracks included from the Violence Now 7" and the GG Allin
&the Carolina Shitkickers 7" EP.
I'm not a huge fan of GG Allin
in the sense that I don't find his masochistic, sick and twisted stage
notoriety, humorous or in anyway something to be impressed by. But
putting all that aside, this album is not bad for a listen. I'm sure if
you are a GG Allin fan or Antiseen fan you will like it. Theres a bit
of spoken word going on over the top of some noise which doesn't really
do much for me. Then there are tracks like 'Violence Now' which I don't
mind too much, it's catchy and good to listen to in the background.
I've had it on repeat for a while and it is growing on me, musically.
Don't have the lyrics on front of em so I don't what he is singing
about, but having read a a bit about what this guy was like and with
tracks titled 'Sister Sodomy', 'I wanna fuck the shit out of you' and
'Rape, Torture, Terminate and fuck', I can probably pretty safely say
that he ain't singing against these things. So I don't think I will
bother looking for lyrics.
Not really my cup of tea, but worth checking out for something different.
