Getting Serious
People Like You records

released March 2005

Third full length studio album from one of Englands best Streetpunk bands at the moment. I am a huge deadline fan, and am quite enjoying this album. It is maybe a little bit more 'poppy' than their previous releases, although Liz's vocals haven't changed a bit if anything they have gotten stronger.
The first track on the album 'The World Keeps Turning' is probably the best on the album, it is the one which has stuck in my mind the most anyway. Great melody and really catchy. 'Nice Guy' is another kick arse track. 'Serious' is fucking great, it has that kinda 'dark' feel to it, again great melodies. The only track which I can't really get into is 'Long Way Home', I dunno, I like it, but there is just something I can't put my finger on. If you are a Deadline fan then you will be wanting to get your hands on this one. It's one of those albums that you ain't quite sure of at first, but after a few listens you'll find yourself humming along, even when the CD ain't playing.
