'The Punk Singles Collection'

Having
only heard “Babylon’s Burning” by the Ruts and never taking much
interest in pursuing their music any further I was really surprised
when I had a listen to this CD. It’s fucking great!!! Whilst I am not
so much into the reggae/dub stuff I have to say musically it’s quite
good, I just don’t get the white boys singing about Jah and Babylon…
but anyway, the more punk-ier stuff fucken rules and these guys really
knew how to write a song that get’s stuck in yer head all day at work.
This CD is a great starting point for those who’ve never really heard
them (like me). Now I am gonna have to hunt down all their releases!
