Soldier Dolls are a Welsh punk rock band from the early 80's who split up and then reformed again to release this self titled album. From what I understand the tracks aren't actually new ones, but older ones re-recorded for this release.
Typically 80's punk re-recorded, some of the tracks get a bit monotonous, but overall not a bad album. I have never heard them before so I can't compare this to any other release of theirs. Stand out tracks to me would be 'Gotham City is Dead' and 'brainwashed', they are the two which seem to have stuck in my head. A lot of tracks have that tinge every now and then of a bit of metal, bit of hardcore, but still just punk. If you are a fan of 80's punk then you will probably really like this album. I have read where their sound compares to bands like GBH, although I haven't listened to enough GBH to either agree or disagree with that.
