Tim, Paul and Owen

The Band

Slick 46 are a working class street punk band that formed late 1998 in a small town called Wagga Wagga in Australia. The lineup then was Tim Mumford- Guitar and Vocals, Paul Mumford- drums and Joe King- Bass and Vocals. After twelve months of playing pubs and all ages shows, Joe left the band and Owen Dwyer joined on Bass.
At this time Slick 46 started touring interstate, particularly playing a lot of shows in Melbourne. In January 2001, the boys decided it was time to relocate and decided to call Melbourne home.
Slick 46 is an independent band with a strong DIY ethic, organizing their own tours and recordings. The guys in Slick 46 are always busy, either working on new material, organizing shows, playing gigs and touring. To date they have released three E.P.'s- 'Kicked out of Everwhere' 1999 (out of print ) 'Stand in Line' 2001, and 'Move Aside' 2006.
Slick 46s music is unashamedly old skool with plenty of sing-a-long chorus and loud guitar riffs. Their influences are obvious- The Clash, Stiff Little Fingers, Sex Pistols, Sham 69 and current days bands such as U.S. Bombs. Slick 46 shows are always energetic and entertaining, be it in a Melbourne Venue, somewhere on tour or belting out some tunes for the lads at their local pub, they play each gig as if it was their last.
2007 will be a busy year for the boys- at the moment, during December and January they have been in the studio recording a 13 track album, due to be released later in the year. Also the guys are planning some interstate shows for early in the year and are busy organizing for a tour of the west coast of the USA during July/ August.
That'll do for now-

Bass / Vocals: Owen
