Marching Orders

Last Drinks

This is the debut EP from the Melbourne Lads which was released in 2005 (yes a dealyed review I know) and bloody oath have they made an impact with this one. The band has been around on and off for a fair few years, but 2005 was when they seemed to get serious. The best way to descibe this EP is six tracks of Australian influenced oi/street rock. They cover themes such as drinking with mates, being Australian, loyalty (or lack thereof) and generally having a good time, nothing new lyrically, although reality is most bands don't do much new in the way of lyrics. What sets it apart is it's mid tempo pace and non stereotypical vocals, with strengths in the solid blues/ rocknroll lead breaks.

If you want a taste of whats coming out of Australia these days then this is a good place to start.

I'll be honest and let you know that  this is another CD which I also sell through Rebellion Records Holland.

Feel free to leave a comment and let us know what you think of this EP.
