Bakers Dozen
Sent Down
Rebellion Records 2006

They don't come any tougher than these boys and the latest album by Bakers Dozen puts these Scottish Skinheads at the pinacle of Skinhead rock ' n ' roll music in the world today. The 10 new tracks on the album is solid oi rock ' n ' roll without being thrash or " oi core " . The new songs are extremely well written, with themes every Skinhead can relate to and the Scottish vocals by Jon Scott are as good as it gets.
Bass playing in oi doesn't always get a mention in reviews but the bass playing on this album is very tight and combined with the tight drumming , adds to the quality of the production as the recording on " Sent Down " is crytal clear.
The two best tracks for me are " Sent Down " which is about the simplicity of having a history of getting into trouble, and as soon as you know it again your behind bars, and " Always be a name unknown " about new Skinheads who pretend they have been around for years quoting gigs and fights they have been in that turns out to be bullshit. The album even has a great version of Condemned 84's " The unstoppable force " !
If your a Skinhead and your not listening to the Bakers Dozen then somethings got to be wrong somewhere as these boys are a class act.
