The Exploited
The Massacre
Captain Oi! Records
2005 (re-press)
This album did more to show the world that punk isn’t dead than
anything else they released in my books. This is a well produced LP
with relentless big sounding solid drums accompanied by good riffs and
Wattie’s venomous punk anger. In 1990 when it came out, punk rock was
stale as last weeks bread and hardcore was leading the way in the
aggression stakes, then BOOM, this little gem came out standing up for
the old guard. Good artwork on the cover of skeleton punk rockers
massacring each other too. Live bonus tracks from Japan round out this
handy little collection. If you have a mohawk this is crucial. If you
just like blasting flat out punk rock out of your speakers sometimes,
you’re going to dig this too.
