Really not my cup of tea this but then, having read lots of reviews on
the web, these guys obviously have a very loyal following. The reviews
of their gigs all rave about how awesome they are. Perhaps they’re one
of those bands that ya have to see live before ya like ‘em. They kind
of sound a bit like the Ruts meets early Clash meets something else
that I can’t quite figure out. They mix in all sorts of stuff like surf
guitar and blues riffs with big choruses and it’s this mix that reminds
me of the Clash. I’ve been listening to this album for a while to see
if it would grow on me cause some of my favourite albums
took a few listens to get into but this on just didn’t happen for me.
There’s nothing really wrong with it I guess it’s just not my thing. www.captainoi.com
