Hey folks.
So it has been a right prick of a week. With only a week to go until the closing date for Deadset Music and there were major server problems which have caused havoc for the site. You may have noticed that the site was online then offline then online then offline pretty much all of last week.
Since it has gone back up this time there are errors popping up all over the place and the checkout isn't working correctly. So I have decided to close the store as of now.
Over the next few weeks I will probably add some of the remaining stock up on Ebay, http://myworld.ebay.com/aussieskin/ If you already receive the Deadset Music newsletters then I will keep you updated every so often.
For those of you with orders outstanding please send your money orders or transfer your money as soon as possible. I will get in contact with you all individually aswell.
I will also be adding up a list of alternative places to shop online. Places I have dealt with and places worth supporting.
Thanks to all those who have shown true support to Deadset over the years, and thanks to those who inadvertadly bought me more business by trying to discourage people from supporting me...
Cheers
Fiona

'Disturbed Mother Fucker' has been trying to sort his life out (that
will never happen we hear you shout Ha! Ha!). Anyway, we thought we
would let you know what has been happening in recent weeks and what we
have planned for the near future ok! Read on and we'll catch you all

Gigs and Shows

It's not a gig, but the captain, crew and many of the passengers of the good ship Aussieskin have succumbed to the lure of this Myspace App game so I thought I'd let you in for a glimpse at the world of Mafia Wars....
Initially, you test your influence over real and online friends, by inviting them to join in the game. True friends join, a few acquaintances crumble to threats, and the circle of trust is formed. You'll watch each others' backs.
You are compelled to bash people and do "jobs" to earn money. You delight in the fucked up names people adopt in the Fight section, and it becomes an obsession as to who should be bashed first...the gayest name or the smallest family?
The pressure builds, you need more money, more energy and a larger family to get to that next level.
Decisions regarding property v. weapon acquisition become all consuming. Mental energy is expended in trying to gain experience points, painfully incrementally, waiting for health and stamina to regenerate, watching the seconds tick by, even contemplating third party invitations to online surveys or text message subscription to earn more points.
The anguish of not being able to log in, knowing that your property investments are earning you tens of thousands of dollars per hour and you need to bank them before someone ices you.
The discovery that a bashing earning $70k can be repeated three or four times before the victim is "iced" is better than Christmas.
Logging in to find that some weak bastard you bashed has paid out $85k to have you iced, so some freak with a mega casino has just killed you, taken your money and six of your precious experience points sends you into a fury.
It's ok though, you can keep playing. The reaper's grip is only temporary on Mafia Wars.
So when you next see that App invite on your myspaz, you'll have had this little aperitif to get your tastebuds tingling. We hope that you will join us for the main course...
